i have seen you posting on different pages, and sorry if i am on a different subject, but would you ever consider a TR 96 and headers for that same moneyIJ they are excellent shape, and 4wd. they are great machines in excellent shape, but i am in the market for a cat on tracks. the number is 701-261-1322 if interested. thanks

Yesterday in Olds AB. I bid 24 100 (Can $) for a 1985 860 in Mint Cond. The Machine Sold for 24 200. I guess it was a weak moment, That machine is not worth 24 200, today I am glad I did not get it. The machine had only a pickup head, and was a 6 cyl intercooled standard. I am now considering a 8820 T2. Soo much better dealer support with the JD, except you pay a premium for the green paint. I have run Masseys my whole life, but its time to move on, and you may do well to do the same.

Porky, how many hours did it haveIJ I was thinking if you could get the Combine and headers for $15,000 you wouldn't be screwing yourself would youIJ....Heck if you run it 4 years you payed for it. Or is that STIll too much moneyIJ Mabeye I should spend a little more and save myself a headache in the long run. Am looking at buying a CASEIH next summer but may get another, less expspensive machine for this year....Thats why I was considering the 860.

my range would be 27,500 with a 30 foot header. they are very comparible in size to a 9600. we had 65 bu wht last year, and usually ran 4-4.5 mph with 30 foot header. i feel they will do a little better than a 9600 in dry conditions, and tough conditions, a 9600 would do more. if you are interested, let me know, because there is a good chance it will be traded in 2 days.

You might want to check around in other states as prices vary. This spring a 860 sold in my area for about half that but it had a 9122 grain head and was a 1985 model with a v8 540
