I have no problem with Deutz engines. We have run deutz for about 40 years on this farm, but I do believe they require more care that a water cooled motor. As said, if not maintained, they become a very expensive motor to rebuild. We put about 5000hrs on the same series of engine in a 9190 tractor without any problems and currently running the 6-513 in a 9690 tractor with 2000plus hrs. one other comment. in about that year(first cummins in gleaner) we used a R62 and I didn't like the motor. It seems to lack torque, but is sure liked it's fuel. It was some time ago but think we figured it was using twice the fuel and about 50% better feed rate that our R50. Most likely go look at unit in the next few days, but running engine will not be possible unless temperature changes. Today it was -27C in the morning. Gerald
