While it is true there are two machines to maintain, if you do have a breakdown on one you are still harvesting with the other..One key point in my mind is if you have the second operator, as good help seems to be getting harder to find..

I cut against a 2166 and 2366 with my 88 both of those machines are tuned really well, and still the 88 will bury them esp in corn there running 6 rows me a 12 they might get me .5-1 mph once and a while but I usually shell as much as both. there running 25' 1020's me a 30 in tough conditions heavy irrigated beans with the AFX rotor I can cut 1-2 hrs sooner and later, they run 4-4.5 me 5.5-6 or faster if they will cut. don't waste your time on a 44 why do you think they quit building them. don't think any old 88 will do this mine has all the new updates including the rotor drive and is putting out plenty of power. I would love to get an 8010 in the field with me.

by the way I have 25 yrs and 10000 hrs seat time in an Axial Flow combining beans and corn. I've had them all 60's,66,and 88's the small machines are great combines but you really don't have one till you have an 88!!
