I had a 1995 TR-97 that had the 2 speed rotor. It was slow speed and normal speed. I used the slow speed for dry white food grade corn. It would do a very good job. I would run it about 50-75 rpm slower than the reg. speed could run. Then I traded for a TR-98 and it has 1 speed rotor. It still does a good job at very slowest speed, so if combine has it it's nice but it is not a requirment. Also my 97 had a genesis engine in it, some early TR-97's had the Ford motor in them but most I think was replaced after the first year with a genesis. Good luck.
