did you put oil in the lh compartment, the one that screws outIJ Put the PTO in gear, look at the PTO when the clutch is slipping. IF it stops it is the foot clutch slipping if it continues to turn it is the PD clutch. Does it do it in high range and low rangeIJ check for linkage adjustment on the high - neutral- low range lever all the way to the valve.

The pto continues to turn in fact the pto always turns on this tractor and has since I bought it. I guess its the power directer so where do you find the power directerIJ thanks Michael

IT IS INSIDE, check the linkages and make sure the valve spool is oushing and pulling All the way in _out

Thanks again. It will be a few days until I can check it as I live 50 mile from where I farm on weekends. I will let you know how it turns out though. Darn fine tractoer until this and I have had it 12 years without a problem. Michael.
