Wow.......did this combine fall off the loading dock, or what. Got me completly scared of the new combines(what model). Saw Dakota's posting in the Deere site with their 9650's and same thing comes to my mind, although he said his were bought used. If this combine was bought new, I would ask for a new combine to replace it, since usally once a lemon, always a lemon. If that probably won't fly, I would ask for an extended warranty at no cost to you.....including a use of combine for any long waits at repairs. Its stories like this that make me swing to hiring custom operators, instead of having to depend on one machine(even if new).

You had me going until you said the rasp bars were wore out in four hundred hours, so to put it bluntly I think you are pulling our collective legs, unless by chance you were using the machine in some kind of demolition derby. You are talking about failure of components that are very proven and have been in the field for a long time. So until you put some credible documentation about those failures I will ignore this post, and hopefully every one else will realize the lack of credibility that this post has and do the same.

Two 2001 R-62 and one 2001 R-72. Our maintenance is flawless. The cylinder bars must have had a bad chrome job. Never seen anything like it.

I take it that all this did not happen to one machine..from the last post you made I am guessing it was three machinesIJ I 'll go back and read the first post again but I got the impression it was all on one machine.. Still that is alot of breakdowns.. How did you dealer take care of youIJIJIJIJ And how did AGCO react is the most important thing.. All machines are going to have problems (green_silver_red_yellow).. The most important thing to me is did they take care of it in a timely matterIJ Did they fix it or leave out on your ownIJ

did you buy the machines new or usedIJIJIJIJIJIJIJIJ last year we traded a '94 r72 for a'98 r72 and had a lot of problems with the '98 but most of them were because of the lack of care from the 1st owner....however our dealer took very good care of all the problems.

It was all 3 machines and there are more breakdowns than mentioned. Agco support and warranty is second to none or we would not still be running Gleaners. Can not say the same about Cummins. The blown engine was down for over 4 weeks. luckily it was the end of the season. Guess we should have pushed for a new one. The computer problem should not have taken over 2 days to fix. Agco and our dealer will do everything in their power to keep you running. But they can not touch those new electronic engines.

With all the break downs I can'nt imagine how you could get many hrs. on the combines, but how many hrs did they haveIJ

A lot of your trouble came from the new spreader drive,thats what you get when you try some thing new. also needs to be predelivered better. please tell me were you trade so I can look out for these lemons.

Trying somethin newIJ What do you meanIJ Does'nt Gleaner test as much as other companysIJ It should have been tested before production and ready for the field. Shafts breaking, breaking off elevators paddles, bearings going out, gearbox alignment, electronic problems, engine failures, ect. has nothing to do with predelivery.
