Combines 2003 9750STS No Reserve Power

Find out what engine is in it. If it is a Tier II 8.1 engine your screwed. Immediately return it to your dealer and get your money back ASAP. No joke. Get a lawyer. I know from experiance. Don't believe a word your dealer or JD says. It can not be fixed. Get your money back NOW! Move quickly. Find a 01 or 00 machine or better yet just wait for the 04 to be released with the 12.1 engine. I can talk to you over the phone if you wish.

Cleaned the Screen at the Fuel Filter, changed the Fuel Filter, now we go!

The 2002 and 2003's are running fine. Check your fuel filters. The dealer should have done an update to any 2002 machine. The tier II engines have good power and no difference in the torque curve.

Absoulutely, possitvely WRONG. And yes I can prove it. Are you a JD dealer by chanceIJ If so I can forward JD Code numbers for you. Then tell me again about the Tier II engines. This info is directly from JD and is not to be made availible to the public or the vast majority of their dealers.

I ran a 03 9750 along with 9 other machines for the entire 2003 summer harvest from irrigated wheat and dryland and i found no real problems with the 9750 yes i did experience shortages of power but it was because of the fuel filter.

I ran a 2003 9750sts for 5 days and couldn't tell any difference in the power vs our 2001 9750. I put it to the test cause I ran it on some of the steepest hills that can be farmed. You flat land farmers don't know what the phrase "lack of power" means till you've driven combine in the hills of eastern Washington!

Hank, Since I'm your neighbor I'll have to go ride in your machine next year. My 2000 STS was a dog in the hills. RAHCO had a good leveler on the 9632 combine. Not impressed with this leveler at all. A Hillco leveled combine has way more power than the RAHCO. Besides, 80% of my downtime was the RAHCO part and I had plenty of downtime for a relatively new machine. I want my 9632 back! Wouldn't life be so simple (and boring) if we were flatlandersIJ

Yes, Farming would be so boring in the flat land! If some of thosr flatlanders could see some of these hills- well they just wouldn't believe they could be farmed untill they see them. What kind of problems did you haveIJ We haven't had any problems with the RACHO leveler. I have heard the machines with the hillco leverler do have more power, but with the hills we have I would rather have a 32% leveler vs the 28% one. Come over anytime next year, it would be fun to meet you!

Hank, Both rear axles tubes broke right where they welded the gussets to the tube. They welded across the tube! Engineering OOPS! We lost three of the RAHCO serpentine belt tensioners off the engine pump. Two of the three times the bearings caused a chaff fire and tore all the other belts off the engine. RAHCO contour master went crazy about 10 times. ( tilted left and right rapidly). The feeder beater finger retainers melted and dropped 4 fingers out. The RAHCO oil cooler plugged constantly. I am glad however that they finally quit welding those ears under the turn table of the feederhouse on the new models. I never could cut laid down grain without bulldozing dirt. I guess I'm just all around disgusted with the whole leveler. It seems every part we need from them is three times the price it should be. (parts that should not be failing in 600 hrs). Hillco looks like a lot cleaner, simpler, and cheaper way to go. I'm glad you've had better luck than I have. If it works for you then great. Maybe the newer levelers are built better.
