Neat. Thanks for sharing.....I realize none of us would want to go back there but do you think the net profit has gotten worse, stayed the same, or improved as the equipment has grownIJIJIJIJIJIJIJ

Another GREAT photo. I've GOT to get a digital camera. I'm too young to remember the first two machines. The first combines I can remember on the farm was a 6601 JD and a 6600 JD. From them we went to a 7720 and a 7721. Then got rid of the pull type and got a second 7720. We currently run a 9500 and a 9600. One day I'd like to find an old open station JD to play with.

Bought this combine at an auction. Has a 16ft header and came with a Sund-raking pickup attachment. It has just over 2,000 hrs.

It might be different from farm to farm but according to grandpa, the last time the farm made money was the 50s.

Greenstrat, If you go to the link for the photo, right click your mouse and select "properties". You will see that he posted the picture at the address "http:__www.tractorshed.com_gallery_iphotos_i2186.jpg" and then linked directly to the jpeg. Just a little computer trick for ya!

I put my pictures on ytmag.com in the implement section. After the picture is on ytmag, I right click on the pictures and then a small grey window should come up. Click on properties and then copy and past the URl address to the URl box thats below the comment box when posting. Also, put a title in the title box and everything should work.
