Can you change either the front or rear axel positions to make the combine sit higherIJ

A good rule of thumb in setting the 1020 header is to use an angle finder on the back side of the header and adjust the angle to about 10 degrees. I think you are laid back too far, let it out. We experienced just the opposite, tipped too far forward. When we set to 10 degrees it was the difference like night and day. My 3 cents.

Make sure that the sickle has enough travel to really float. I had an experience once where the indicater rod had went out of adjustment and as soon as the sickle was forced down the bar would start to push trash and leaves. If you change the height of the head your angle of 10 degrees may come back to where it needs to be.
