The only problems with chaffer drives that I have seen have been the breaking or cracking of the front chaffer lever support (the u-channel piece with the needle bearings in it) and the wearing of the holes in the drive hub on the rh side. Usually a lower hour failure of the supports can be attributed to a misaligned cleaning system or too high of an engine RPM setting that results in the cleaning system running too fast. Usually results in broken sieves and worn shaker bushings.
