I checked part numbers for you and a 1680 has the same part number as the 2188. The 1480 is different. Here are the numbers 193551C92 is for a 1480. The 1680 number is 193551C95. I had the tank on my 2188 give out on me one of the welds on the baffles cracked so we took the tank out got it welded and it lasted maybe 50 hours then I bought one from a salvage yard and put it in. It was from a burnt 2388 I guess the moral of the story is don't weld it. I don't where you are at but I got mine from Myeres Salvage from Aberdeen SD. Good luck

The base part number 193551 is the same the suffix is different E.G- c92 VS. c95. The tank will fit 1480 or 1680 or 1688 or 2188 or 2388. Just because the suffix changes doesn't mean that the part won't fit, it means the part has been updated or improved in some way.

Boy I wish I could help you out but we kept harvesting with the 2388 while the dealer in Onida SD changed it out for me.

Big Al, We did it on a 1480 a few yrs back, and the way we did it was by taking the rear panel off and sliding the tank out. Don't recall if we had to take a panel from the top to be enable the filler neck to come free or not. It's been 15yrs at least. The tank is fairly heavy and hard to hang onto, but not that big a deal. Good luck.
