Combines 2188 rear axle

Is it the axile tube or the axile bar that broke I found the key is to check the axile stablizer bars for too much slack I had trouble were they hook to the rear of combine frame kept breaking 1_2 inch bolts drilled them out to 5_8 no more problem good luck

The axle tube on our 2388 cracked in the middle, right under the pin. We reinforced it with a piece of thick 4X6 inch angle iron from an old disk frame. We cut it about 30 inches long and welded it underneath the axle at the rear. We cut out around the area where the pin goes through. If you have any questions, let me know. I've seen some guys that run the wide floatation tires in the rear get another tube just like the center axle tube and put it under the axle, but this reduces ground clearance quite a bit.

Had one , it broke. Better check it out andbeef it up.It won't break at the shop. Good luck!
