The axle tube on our 2388 cracked in the middle, right under the pin. We reinforced it with a piece of thick 4X6 inch angle iron from an old disk frame. We cut it about 30 inches long and welded it underneath the axle at the rear. We cut out around the area where the pin goes through. If you have any questions, let me know. I've seen some guys that run the wide floatation tires in the rear get another tube just like the center axle tube and put it under the axle, but this reduces ground clearance quite a bit.
