Combines 2188 rice vs spec rotor

What do you mean "2188 rice"IJ I'm in the middle of rice country and have never heard that term. All axial's flow here have the "speciality" rotor in them. The only thing I can think of is that speciality rotors here in rice run spiked rasp bars from front back. There are a few heavy duty parts on a rice machine but none have to do with the threshing system.

I think when the specialty rotor first came out, they may have been first used on rice combines and later used on other crops. At least that is perception some people have. I always associated it with originating on rice combines first.

When I say rice I mean spiked rotor, ten bolt rear wheels, bigger hydro, faster unloader, two speed hydro,no chopper, stainless steel augers and heavy duty transition cone and totally different tranny gears (I know this because I had to put a ring and pinion in it.) This is just what I noticed diffrent between my two combines sitting side by side in the shop getting them ready this summer.
