Curious what the rebiuld by the dealer entailed. Did he check out the clutch drum, piston, return spring, etc. Did he reseal the pistonIJ Could any of these be warped or brokenIJ just some thoughts. HTH

the clutch pack has to be set up tooo tight. need more clearance so they will release. what you have is viscosity drag. the oil between the discs is actually driving it when released.

This is the second time this year that they have been into these clutches. The clutches burnt out early this year and were replaced along with several other parts in the pto. They worked fine for about 2-3 days then started this problem. They came out and rebuilt them again but the problem remains. I'm not 100% sure what all they have replaced inside but it has been more than just the clutches themselves. Basicly anything that showed any amount of wear got replaced is what they told me (I run our other machine and haven't been around when the work was being done).

Hmm! That makes it sound like clutch engagement pressure was not up to specs and it burned_warped the new clutches in a small amount of time.

I agree with larry - sounds like your clutch pack discs are warped, if it happened again straight after a rebuild the engagement pressures are the probable cause. Thats what it was with mine.

I would ask the dealer if they replaced the steel plates between the clutches it sounds like they are warped from the first time the clutch went out causing the clutches to warp after some running time.
