We did ours in the middle of harvest, so we just left the bolt out. Next winter, when it was in for a checkup the dealer put that bolt in. I can't remember the details, maybe you have to cut a hole in somethingIJ I assume you have the chaffer removedIJ

yes the chaffer is out, probably will try a needle nose plyer or something to get that nut on.

I took the chaffer seal out (rubber flap)and put the nut in the box end wrench and had dad start the bolt from outside. You are talking about the front lower boltIJ right. Also did it with chaffer in.

taking the rubber seal loose sounds like the answer, will give that a try on monday

On another note, I have always used a little super glue to hold the nut in the box end so it wouldn't fall out if I hit the end of the bolt too hard. Breaks loose easily after everything is tight.

To replace the shaker drive pivot, remove the chaffer sieve, shoe sieve and chaffer rail assembly. The two lower bolts are carriage bolts and the holes have to be squared out with a file from the inside. The head of this bolt will come into contact with a screw on the side of the chaffer rail, these screws must be removed and turned around. These supports will not fix your problems and will only add to them, weld and reuse the original channels after installing the csr kit,(cleaning system repair kit). I recieved a patent on this kit on Dec 21 04. It sells for $270 dollars and I guarantee this kit will fix all problems with breakage on the cleaning system on all long sieve combines. Contact me at 701-755-3326 or 701-629-1469. Check out www.csrkit.com for more info.Thank you Gordon

Interesting concept. However, the cast supports do alleviate a lot of the problem, not add to it.

I will say again the heavy duty shaker drive pivots do not fix anything but add to the internal contact problems with these combines.Does your case dealer guarantee that these supports will fix your problemsIJ I do guarantee that my kit will fix your problems. I had 100 sales last year with no complaints. I worked for case for 10 years and started my own repair service in 1999. last year I worked on 46 combines, myself. My patent covers all case combines made from 1990. The contact between the shaker support mounting bolts and the chaffer rail screw was found on a 2003 2388. The heavy cast supports are a waste of money and time. I do not recommend using these supports unless the original is broken to the point where it cannot be repaired, and if you do you must turn the screws on the chaffer rails around to prevent contact with the mounting bolts. The cast support and the slow down kit (definitly not recommended) do not and will not repair your problems. If these items are the "fix" for these combines why are 2002_2003 combines still having multiple problems with the cleaning systemsIJ Remember I guarantee my product will fix your problems! Check out www.csrkit.com. and then look more closely at your combines the internal contact points are built in from the factory, and effect all of these combines.
