I had a 1688 that was doing that same thing and the problem was in the gear box that is in the elbow of the auger the top gear was worn pretty bad and it would slip every once in awhile. Taking the gear box out was not a big job but you have to take off the auger first unless someone knows a easier way to do it. I took the gear box to my dealer and they put new gears in and that solved my problem. Hope the weather gets better for you.

There is a orifice update for the engaging cylinder. Realley makes a big differance.

Does anyone have the part n for the orifice update for the unloading auger. My dealer and I are having a hard time finding it.

have your dealer look in 2388 parts and look for upper fitting for hose on the unloader engage cyl. i think it is upper has to be in the right place. orifice one way full flow the other.
