I can't say for sure but I would think that NH deck plates shoud bolt on. BTW I checked in NH for this update your talking about. There is no update for NH 996, 96C, or 98C model cornheads so that update must be from CaseIH engineering only.

Yes, it certainly only pertains to the Case-Ih version 88 series combine and smaller. I doubt it would pertain to the new 7010 or 8010. It is just one of them perks with me. Just like why CNH does not offer different feed width belts on their Red version MacDons. Kind of stupid to have a narrower feed belt and less retractable fingers on the Maxi-floats. Just as well by @ your MacDon dealer if you want top performance.

I noticed on Calmer AG site that they are producing the beveled deck plates for the JD cornheads now. They think it reduced the amount of leaves entering, thus less MOG. Anyone have an opinionIJ Notice Francis Childs on the site talking about narrow rows and 533bu_Ac corn yield, WOW! Maybe I ought to stick to the Case deck plates after all.
