Halfpint,In your post you mention 2200 series stalkroll and gathering chain updates.What exactly are these updatesIJ I bought a 2200 series cornhead when they were first introduced and been having some trouble in green stalks and fodder.Just wondering whether those updates would help me and what they did for you.Thanks much.

Shucks Dealer put on new stalk rollers,new seals in gear boxes around stalk rolls and smaller drive sprockets on gathering chains.

The updates are smaller drive sprockets on gathering chains,shorter lugs on the chains, and if you have knife rolls there is a new design on the knife plus longer bolts to hold on the rolls. These updates should have been done on all first year heads. The update was done to help the head pick cleaner ie: less trash going into combine which increases capicity. If these mods do not help get the trash out I suggest putting on fluted rolls and slowing head down.
