We have a 2144 and run a 4-36 corn head with no problem in 225+ 25% corn. Run a 20' grain head in soybeans on hills with no problem. Kinda wish we had a 22.5 but would probably want the field tracker if we stepped up to that.
we run a 2144 with 2165 hrs on the engine and it has been a good machine. we use a 6 row 30" head and a 17.5 grain head. we have the lateral float and it is a great tool to have. i would love to use a wider head in beans but have too many narrow fence row entrances and have to take the head off alot to move to some fields so as it is. I have been very well pleased with the machine and haven't had much trouble to speak of. good luck
