my 2388 was shot after 2 seasons put 15000 into it always buy extended wear parts and order a new combine that way saves on the metal replacement and chrome rasp bars wear alot longer we are using these combines alot hared than our old 1460's My 8010 is all SS or extended wear rice its shows almost no wear after two seasons and has had a lot ran through it my .02 good luck

Sounds high to me. We have a 15 year old 1660 and we run over 1100 acres of corn_wheat_soybeans with it and we're still on the original unloading tubes and augers. I've replaced the vertical one and the 2 in the tank a couple years ago. I've had the problem with holes in the floor and sump. I've done cone_vanes_feederhouse bottom this past year for the first time. I've never had to do any elevator housings yet. I've got 4000 hours on my machine though. I had a neighbour tell me the newer stuff doesn't go as far. His theory was the grade of steel in them. His experience was similar to your own.
