It'll work, but drive tires will be as wide as the head, if not a little wider.

It will work I have a 2166 with same tires with 1044 head works just fine.

I run a 1680 with a 4 row head, I have to turn the tires around to narrow them up or they catch the leaning cobs. Just make sure you make any changes in the concave area before changing the tires as there is very little clearance after turning the tires, the tires in reverse work good in the mud because you can always back out. JP, If I remember right the 4W head was rated to go on a 80 ser. combine which were only available with the 30.5 tires so it should work fine. Hope you have the 2 speed hydro!! Ought to run 10mph with it. Do you have the sproket that runs the head fastIJ Can't remember what tooth count it was but I put the slower one on my 944 with the 715.
