Combines 2377 Heating up

This may sound like a dumb question, but have you verified this is a true heating problem by using something like an infra-red thermometerIJ There have been some problems on other eqipment with mismatched senders and guages. Might also give the belt tensioner a once over and check belt_pulley alignment.

This may sound dumb, but make sure there is no chaff on the radiator or other foreign material blocking air flow. Pat

No comments ever sound dumb. when the heat gage went up I first checked the rad they have a new screen on the rotary screen this year it is very fine mesh. The rad was very clean. I looked at the 'face' of the screen very clean no problem looking through it.Since the motor does not always start the separator at 1050 rpm sometimes it takes 1500 rpm I over looked the obvious, the 6 inches of screen that gives it depth {out from the combine} was over 3_4 plugged. After cleaning it I have had no overheating problems! but the combine still stalls if you don't rev it up to at least 1350. Dealer is going to send the pump away after wheat harvest. 400 acres to go. I always say don't over look the obvious, but I guess I did . Thanks for the comments I appreciate them.
