Combines 2377 is for real

I can't find it today on the Case IH website! they only list the 2366_2388 - perhaps they changed their minds overnight!

Interesting...it was there on a seperate listing when i checked just now..Specification format is a bit different then the 2366_2388 list,but the 2377 seems to be a lower Hp, smaller bin 88... Guess the price would need to be significantly lower for this to make any sense to me...

Gentlemen I do beg your pardon - I just checked again and the web page has changed in the last few minutes and the 2377 is back! The only thing I can think is that there are two versions of the harvesting products page - one with the 2377, one without, sometimes one loads sometimes the other, Ive seen both in the last 10 minutes!

I see that it will replace the 2366

i downloaded the specs. the way i see it, its basically a 2388 with a 2366's horses and a smaller binIJ

typical CASEIHC - on their webb site introduction page it says it replaces the 2366 series, and then on the specs page it shows a 30" rotor, which is the size of the 2388 combine. Who knows what it isIJ

It looks like CNH doesn't want to build the 66 size rotor and narrower 66 series components anymore, so you just get an 88 series with less power and no bin extensions (I can't imagine they changed the lower sheetmetal of the tank). If there is a significant price difference, it might be a good deal for someone wanting a 2388 and willing to install a power chip and bin extension. Of course, the 77 might also be the "lets find the cheapest parts" special (ie. bearings from bob's quality used bearings, chain from uncle chang's used bicycle chain shop, and belts by hemp belt),so it may have problems at 2388 power. my 2 cents, Pat
