Where are you at in central lA. Right now I am cutting 2500 total with a 9600. 300 wheat, 400 milo, some corn and 1600 ac beans. If you go this route with one machine, set it up to run in marginal conditions. 28l's on the back and 35.5 on the front. Floater tire are neat, but are a pain in milo, slow on the road, wide on bridges, but 35.5 in my opinion are better than anything out there "round". The 900RXX_32 is also a tire option. Are your beans on rows or narrow row flat planted. I ran a 30' one time on my 38" rows and it is too narrow for 10 and too wide for 9.

Depending on your mix of beans and milo I would say you shouldn't have a problem unless the weather really gets rough. I add that in about the milo mix because here in EC Arkansas our milo will usually come off before our rice and then the full season beans shortly after that. I used to run 900 acres of rice, 900 milo and 1200 beans through a 1680 with a 20' 1010 and a 25' 1020. The key to it is that the combine can't sit up waiting on trucks or grain carts. It's got to be rolling nonstop. One thing to remember is that if you go with 2 combines and don't increase your truck and cart capacity you really haven't gained as much as you think. Currently we're running 1800 rice, 500 corn, 700 group 3 beans, and 2800 group 5 beans through a 2188 and 2388 with no problems. The 2388 does carry a stripper head in the rice so that speeds us up some.
