put some extra washers in your slip clutch works wonders be sure it's assembled correctly as well. if you don't have the funnel on the inside of the combine, like a 12 row ready has get one will help a lot.

Could you expand on "the funnel on the inside of the combine"IJ I am not sure what you mean. Thanks

It sounds to me the incline auger end broke loose to me. I came across 1 that had that same problem it turn till the auger was covered. Where's your bubble up auger located. Closer to the auger the better but that shouldn't have nothing to do with it. it should fill it a hell of a lot fuller that that on it own even with out having to add washers. Just because you replace something doesn't mean that it is goodIJ

on a 12 row ready 2388 on the inside of the clean grain elevator there is a piece of metal shaped like a funnel that helps the elevator stay full of corn. you take seives out and bolt it in I've been running 10 and 12 row heads on my 2388 ever sense I've had it and never had a problem. I alway thought it was on fast speed but found out in repairing it last fall it was on slow. so I left it there. hope this helps I'll look the part number up if anyone wants it.

This is new information for me too. I'd sure appreciate the part number. Since installing an AFX rotor in my 2188 my capacity limit in high yielding corn is now my clean grain elevator. As long as I kept the total flow to around 2400 bushel per hour I was ok. Granted that was as fast as the auger wagon and semitruck could keep up with anyway, but if there is a part that will increase capacity I'll sure give it a try. Thanks!

Be careful about tightening slip clutch. Overtightened ours past slip point and busted aluminum housing at top of elevator last fall. Our 2388 slips clutch occasionally when almost have "super topper" full. This can happen even when combining low yielding crops. Can't find a solution and our other 2388 never has caused a problem.

Parts refers to the funnel as a CONE part no. 197620A1 Bolts to the inside, around the clean grain auger. Keeps grain from climbing away from auger (packs auger full) like a funnel!
