Check the potentiometer on the feederhouse. We have had to replace these almost yearly as they seize up, in our case, probably due to the frequent washing the machine gets.

Hopefully this problem with the feeder position pots for both header height and AFS have been corrected. The brass bushing in the housing on the aluminum shaft has been replaced with a plastic one. Pots never were the problem always the mount. Course we have head this one before. Don't know when the new piece will be in the system.

Russ, I would bet that your header lost calibaration. If you need to raise or lower the feeder to move the combine to someplace where you can recalibrate the feeder you can raise and lower the feeder manually by using a ponch or screw driver and pushing in on the correct valve spool that is under the left hand door. The owners manual as good instruction on how to calibrate the feeder. Good luck!

Well, they must be selling me old stock. Went out this morning to start and the header went down and stayed down, it wouldn't even calibrate. Tried to get hold of Pro Harvest, apparently harvesting isn't done on Sundays, ended up driving 80 miles to get a new pot and it never skipped a beat for the rest of the day. Ahhh, technology...

That's what I was able to find out was we will use up old stock. Must be a boatload in the system. Technology is great when it works, but can be a real challange when it doesn't.
