Combines 2388 grain pan bolts breaking out

yep..done two over the last month...but have done a couple before..we do checks all over the header the paneling is light and the vibration seems to cause cracks..the latest find is in the return auger it pays to lay on ur back with a torch and look around all the edges of your grain pans also look down in the machine on both sides at the end of the sieves we have had 4 of our 2388 and the 2 2188 have had cracks welded in these places....sorry to bearer of bad news..the easy way we find is to starp them has the dealer suggest

Duke if you notice the combine has nothing to tie the sides together above the chassie except (you guessed it) the grain pan. We've run several machines and never had a problem until last year with a 2388. I made a horseshoe shaped piece out of 3_8 plate and tied the left and right braces of the rotor housing together. leave enough clearance under the grain tank as it settles as the tank is filled. Also pull your rotor and make sure none of the vanes are bent.
