If you are just turning up the fuel, first get a 0-60 psi guage and hook it into the intake and check the boost pressure. Check it at high idle, everything engaged, and stall the hydro in 3rd gear. Dont go over 25psi and dont go in more than 2 1_2 turns.

2 1_2 turns, are you smoking crackIJ No offense, but if you go that much, if you are lucky you will blow a head gasket before you melt the piston. 9 times out of 10, the HP is fine. 1st check to make sure that high idle is at least 2510. Next make sure that the you can see 2 notches on the spring capsule on the injection pump. This capsule is at the end of the throttle cable, where the cable attaches to the injection pump. If all of this is correct, then call your local Case IH dealer to have them check your combine out.

GO AHEAD AND TURN IT UP 2TO3 TURNS I HAVENT SEEN A 2388 THATS OVER POWERED BUT REMEMBER WITH THESE NEW PUMPS YOU ACTUAllY TURN THE SCREW IN NOT OUT I HAVE BEEN RUNING ABOUT 3 TURNS ON 98 01 AND 03 NEVER HAD ANY PROBlEMS IN FACT GOOD FREIND RUNS 7 23S AND CASECOMBINE SUPPORT HAS TURNED HIS UP. SOME PEOPlE DO NOT PUSH THERE COMBINES SO THEY DO NOT NO WHAT THERE MISSING AND THERE HAPPY GOOD lUCK.
