The 80's are already spinning faster than the 60's were, that's the main difference in unloading rate. A 1460 ran 578 RPM and a 1480 ran 586. I'm not sure how this compares on the newer machines. I think if I was going to try to speed up the system, I'd do it by adding a sprocket or sprockets at the outside of the belt drive. That way, if it's doing too much damage you could switch it back easily to the slower speed, say for soybeans, and rev it up for corn, milo, etc similar to the two speed clean grain elevator. I don't think I'd mess with the belt pulley unless there's no other way. Chads
