Yes, that has been a common problem, your dealer should handle all the warranty work on it, and the easiest way to put it on right is the first time. You should have the flight on the outer section one side of the hex shaft behind the other one, if it is behind farther it will hammer the grain and run anful rough.

CASE IH is working on a add on kit for existing machines that is a wrapper kit to add strength. They are also changing 2005 production so that the 208" augers have a heavier section in that area. Also make sure your truss rod is adjusted correctly as well as your saddle. If you need a fix today try a Mauer Manufacturing catalog and they have an anti-kink kit that is very similar to what CASE IH has.
