Do whatIJ Gleaners are low classIJ Read your 5th sentence about ground speed...Gleaner N6's were doing that back in '79...where was DeereIJ Probably sitting around the engineering table with their heads up their arses looking for the next machine to copy. Frankly, I'll stay with the "low class" combines that do a better job than the "high class" wannabe green grain mills. Allis_Gleaner always has and always will be a step ahead of the rest in engineering design...like your electro hydraulicsIJ Thank Gleaner my friend. Happy harvesting!

Wow you sound like a very intelligent individual I would bet your IQ is quite high to be able to back up statements like that. But I have this feeling that you really can't. Its nice to know that there are people like still out there for my farm to compete against.

I was looking at an old book on the 20 series deere combines and it took me a while(you know with my low IQ and all) but I counted 12 rows on the corn head a 8820 was pushing around. Must just be for looks I guess. The publication date was july 1980. You said there was a gleaner replanting.. oops combining with an 8 row head in '79. I guess deere was just trying to keep up with gleaner.

(yawn) who cares, any one that can be so blindly loyal to a machine has to make me wonder.

It's cleaner with a Gleaner....Do you really want a combine whose company is too cheap to paint itIJ You have...........118 inches of feeder house chain before your crop gets to the cylinder.......... John DeereIJ..........Well, their machines have so many bugs that to keep them running is a real chore......Plus..........its poorly designed. The 2388 has been on the market for several years..Trust me on this, the red one is the best..corh head, chopper etc ....I have a 9650, but its going after the season...
