How close do you want to run the outside of the outer dual to the center of the last standing row of cornIJ If you give me that number, I can see if any of the duals will make it (assuming custom rims running as close together as possible). Any idea which tire size you want to runIJ Radial or biasIJ

The combine has 18.4-42's now I think. This is a new machine, I dont think it will work but just thought I would see if there was any way, I know a bigger head would be better but one step at a time. Probably will have to convert to 30.5-32 like the 2166 we have now.

Take a look at the machine as it sets. It should have the 11-3_4" axle extensions on it. If you take them out, the inner tire will move in that distance and be really close to the side of the machine, but it might clearIJ If it did, and you don't need to change concaves and don't run into mud clearance problems, you might get by like that for a seasonIJ All it would cost you is 2 standard length drive axles, which are pretty easy to find used. That would put the outer dual running 17" from the center of the standing row. Is that enough distance to keep from knocking the ears offIJ

I run duals with a six row head..2206. 18.4-42 on the inside and 14.9-46 on the inside. This gives you a little more room to work with on the outside. The height of the 46's is very near the same as the 42's.

I was thinking of having some outer dual rims made that wouldn't have any offset to them. This would bring the tire in up against the last row and hopefully leave enough clearance from the next row standing. This probably wouldn't work if you have ridges in your corn rows though. We no-till everything so I thought this might work for us. Thoughts anyoneIJ
