We run 1042 36' Case MacDons on 2388's and the machines handle them as well as 30' auger heads. Unloading is the only downfall as you mentioned. We are installing on our new machines the 2' extenders for next year which will put the augers in the center of the carts. Other than that we are very satisfied. JFarms

It took me a minute to figure out who you were which is a tad-bit embarrassing but you have to remember us Minnesotans are a bit slow. Hope you enjoy your new red colored machines Rick. lance aka JFarms

We have run 36' heads for the last 4 years, you definitely need an auger extension (especially if your cart is a wide one). Your combine operators don't have to be quite so careful unloading on the go. We have had the 2' and the 3', I would recommend spending the little extra money and get the 3 footer. My cart is 11' x 20' and the extra foot is well worth the money.

we run two machines with 36' macdons and a magnum with duals and you don't get right in the middle but it seems to work allright, we was wondering about auger extensions but after we ran the heads a couple days we see no need
