Willis, If the 24.5 tires have worked OK for you in the past, I would probably stay with them. I think you will be looking at considerable more money for the 30.5's than the 24.5's. The 30.5's would be nice to handle the heavier load when the bin is full and adds some to stability and flotation, but otherwise, I don't see an advantage. A couple of other things to consider is, what is your row spacing for cornIJ I wouldn't reccommend 30.5's on 30" rows as the stalks will chew up the outer edges of the tires. Whether you want to turn the wheels around or not will also depend on what row spacing you want to achieve. But you need to keep the tires off the stalks.

try The Works my dad claims he used it on an old M and it worked pretty good. U get it at the grocery store.

I've got 30.5's on an l3 and can't imagine going any smaller again for floatiatio_compaction reasons in no till. Don't know what I'll do when I get a bigger machine to achieve the same flotation. Anyone running flotation tiresIJ What sizeIJ

our 24.5s have been cracked for 3 seasons we banded 18.4x38s on our n-7 with 24.5s before the duals the combine was really top heavy and wallowd around hard to controll on the road, etc... also left really deep hard compacted tracks its a whole different critter now it came with 12ply 24.5s set narrow like yours we paid $400 for the bell bands and bolts and eyes and we had the 18.4s on bolt on rims layin around we used 8 bolts on each rim the combine rims had 12 holes drilled in them from the factory so we used 2 the skipped 1 and we drilled holes near the outside of the 18.4 rims but we went to an 8 row corn head instead of taking tires off all the time if ya want i can try to send some picsIJ
