I heard that it did take place using a 16row CAT. I'm unsure if it was an acre or bushel record. If I ever see anything about it in a paper, I'll fill you guys in on the facts. CW

It was all blow,it was suppose to happen not to far from where I live here in Ill.The last I heard it was all made up.The story I heard was it was going to be on the farm of the Baileys that farm around louisville Ill. They farm somewhere around 25000 to 30000 acres. They have a 800 acre field down in the Mt.Erie bottoms, and was suppose to have it all ready to go.It made alot of good coffee shop talk around here. Thanks for the clarification, Illinois Gleaner! I wondered why it didn't make the Farm Week or Agrinews. I know now! I'm from the Effingham area, I guess bits and pieces of this story migrated up here. CW

Does such a record even exist, and if so, what is it. What are some of you corn guys best days in the field, both acres and bushels.

Yeah i heard that they were going to go some plance else and do it Cat seems pretty convinced they want the record i seen a pic of the combine and the corn head on progressive farmer a few weeks ago I think it would take some getting used to every time you turn to count over 8 rows that thing is very wide!!
