No cool projects planned, just have a reel that is about worn out and having trouble justifying a new one on an old head. Thought someone might have one sitting around that we could put to work. With down wheat and milo, the plastic teeth on the pipe reels don't seem to hold up too well. As for being caught up, I'm not sure that ever really happens. How's it going out your wayIJ

Things are going very well here. Nursery harvest is underway, and the weather has been quite cooperative. I'll do some looking around this area for a reel or a header. Most here either run a 20' or 25' grain head but with all the grass seed grown here, there is'nt much use for the grain heads on trade. Would you be adverse to something newer than a 1010IJ If the price is right, I think a guy could ship it fairly cheap.

Cheap always sounds good! What would be newer than a 1010IJ Isn't that still the current model for rigid headsIJ I wouldn't mind going with a deere head, but want to keep all the spare parts interchangeable. If you run into something you think is worth the money, I would sure like to hear about it. Mike

If the pickup fingers are all that are worn out, just find you some old Massey aluminum bats, they have steel spring fingers. Cut them to fit, bolt them in and your ready for the down stuff. I have done two this way. You can't beat em.

Hey Farm Kid2 I have a 25' PU reel with steel fingers. It needs one or two sections replaced but I would sell it to you cheep enough that you could afford to replace all the fingers if you wanted too, and I'm practicaly your next door neighbor. Email me and we can talk about it. K.A.
