lets discuss that CNH arrogant attitude...I always thought Deere had an arrogant attitude and for good reason. I would like to hear more...Is it the dealer, block manIJ Where are you located and primary cropsIJ Also lets not call it a CNH 2588 it still says Case IH on the side.

Gosh Big Al! Is nothing sacred with you anymoreIJ How could you even think green. Did you happen to read my review of a 9660 on a Geringoff corn head that I demoed down the board about a month ago. There are some big changes coming for me also. I'm having an auction on 12-7 selling all my harvest equipment. One of my local customers is buying a combine since he won't have me to harvest his crops anymore and he has asked me to go to work for him because he knows nothing about combines. The only thing it looks like he will be buying a green combine. last Saturday he had a 9860 out there running with my 2388 cutting beans. I went round for round with him. The only difference he had a 35' header and I had a 25'.

Fellow if You think the RED Guys are arrogant go ahead and buy the Green one. You,ll think arrogant the first time they come to work on it and the first thing they do is hook a laptop computer on it. Been there and done that, went back Red and glad of it. Papaw

Get real. Arrogant dealers come in all colors. The red dealer around here has manage to pnnnoff everybody in a 50 mile radius. They have bought out up most of the other local Case dealers. Some of the sales people that worked at those dealers before they changed hands have quit and moved on to the local JD dealers just because of the owners arrogance. Thats not a good thing when some of those sales people have been working their territory for 30+ years and have built a good dependable, friendly, solid relationship with their customers. There is one Case dealer left that hasn't sold out. And this last year was one of the best years they ever had. And yes I have dealt with an arrogant JD dealer. Fortunately, its a long ways away and the only reason I dealt with them was to buy a sprayer. Next time I will shop around. I buy green equipment because of our local Case dealer. Didn't used to be that way. Come look at our fence row and all our old equipment. Its all IH. Trucks, plows, tractors, even a cream seperator. And my advice to you Big Al. look at a JD if you don't like CNH's attitude. Maybe that will scare them. If JD is just as bad, then go to Agco or go back to Case. I'm sure either one would like a green combine on their lot. You said you didn't want to post on the JD site because you are afraid of nothing but one side replies. Well, you are getting them here too. And sorry if I came on too strong.

Hi Keith I am sorry to hear you are retiring from the harvest business. We are all done here finished on Oct.6. Next day we had 2" of rain we had about 4" of snow Oct 16. I guess I am just frustrated with CNH and some of their ideas. But truth be known I would buy a Gleaner before a Deere unless the deal was just unreal from Deere. I haven't talked with dealers yet so maybe I am getting ahead of myself slamming CNH. My dealer who I buy from is a great dealer I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea about my dealer the owner and service manager are great guys who have helped me out lots over the years. My beef is with the higher ups having talked and emailed them it seems they are not interested in you unless you want to trade every year and are doing multipile deals. Maybe it is just me but the whole harvesting business is getting out of hand and the biggest problem is the price of the combines. When you compare a new 2588 to a new 1480 from 1980 the price for the 2588 is about 4 times higher then what the 1480 was. So it should combine about 400 acres a day to justify the cost and I don't think it would be even remotely close to that but CNH does not seem to care their attitude is this is the price if you won't buy it some other stooge will. Enough of my rant Unit 2 I wish you all the best in your retirement and who knows when they are building my new Gleaner at Hesston I may head your way for a visit. PS Would you have a good A-Frame combine trailer with hydraulic lift at your sale I am looking for one. Take Care Big Al

Before you trade for green talk to sombody about how much it will cost you to rebuild the cage and rotor and augers and seive shakers and engines after about 1000 hrs compare that to the red.Good freind was just over complaining he took his in for Deers free inspection came home with a bill for 9500.00. As far as which will eat more the red will out perform the green my tuned up 2388s would give 9760 all it wanted in the same feild but if I wasnt running red, green would be my next choice, we sure was not impressed with the yellow 585 in my opinion Class should stick to choppers oh and I can asure you there are very arogant Deere higher ups they have had us many times to East Moline to sway us in to there world. There is PRICKS in every company. But Good luck on what you choose.

I have an A-frame sitting in Salina,KS would take $1000.00 for it. Good tires on it but, it has air over hydraulic brakes. Hauled 2388 on it.
