They are a good head but the 30 footers are very hard to find the big thing is if the skid plates are not worn through or rusted out and the wobble box is expensive to replace. If you want one to cut wheat they are basically bullet proof providing you have not to many rocks. I finally found one at a farm sale 2 weeks ago it had been shedded all its life and in real good shape I bought it just to put my sunflower pans on it but my brother now wants to buy it from me for his 1688. Good luck hope this helps

I was wondering what the one sold for that you found. I found one up here but the head is in average shape and they want 6500$ for it I'm thinking that's a little steep. Also, Is the sickle drive box diffrent than the ones on the 25' headsIJ

Dingo I paid $3500.00 Canadian for the head I bought not sure on recent exchange rates but I think that would be about $3000.00 U.S.I think the wobble box would be the same as a 25' 810 head. The price you posted for the 810 in your aera seems quite high. Where are you locatedIJ

I'm in central Idaho on the Camas Prarie. I went and took a gander at the head and she's not the bell of the ball. It looks like it's set out in the rain for several years and the reel has several bats that have been cobbled together. Dean
