From what I can tell you have a '89 1_2 or newer R50 with the hydralics for reel built into combine. This header you talk about has hydralics on header. You can get a kit to eliminate pump on header. The kit will have the hoses ect. to hook up to combine hydralics. This will allow auto reel speed to function. If you don't care about auto reel speed you can hook up the coupling to drive pump on the header. If doing this you will need to add a switch and wire to control reel speed. The switch will give voltage to one of the wires at header hydralic pump while grounding the other to speed up and then polarity is flipped to slow down. We have used the reel fore aft switch and harness for this. Good luck
