I don't know if your talking remanufactured or just a good used one. Our tr85 scored a piston a few years back and we looked into both. Most used engines ran in the $1000-2500 range. But your not sure what your getting. An overhaul estimated at $2500 plus. We went with the remanufactured engine from Cat. Cost about $7800 but did include two season warrantee. little spendy but our combine is in excellent shape so we figured it was worth it.
