Tom, Usually we take the two bolts that are holding idler mount asy. off and then you can pivot idler asy. around that it will clear sheet metal frame and allow removal of idler and then pivot back into place.(The bolts that hold ider asy. come up through a plate of steel that slides in a slot for chain tensioning.This also could drop down slightly when nuts are removed also allowing easier removal of idler asy.)
