No, because the 470R list prices have not been released yet. They will be introduced as a 2002 model. From what I hear, the current 470 will be called a 460R in 2002.

Why would it be called a 460RIJ The 460 is a walker machine, and I do not think Cat would associate similar model numbers for completely different combines. Would just mix us simple farmers up!!!

Because, Cat has yet to figure out what the ag market is all about. It's quite a challenge to convince people that it's safe to reserve a 460R for next year, just because you SWEAR that it will be the same machine as the current 470. Next year's 470 will be the same as this year's 470, except that it will have more horsepower.

I saw a 475R at the Clay County Fair in Iowa. But I am wondering what the difference is between a 475 and a 475R. Thank you.

there is NOT a 475 per say, there is only the 475 R. Check out the new brochure at the FPS 2001 and you will see the difference.
