Combines 480 r

We recently traded our 480 for a 480R, like I said before we did some checking around but when it came down to it, we had no reason to switch colors, we did 11,000 acres with the 480 with almost zero down time related to the combine(slip clutch failed=2hrs). All our down time in the past three years has actually been related to our honeybee draper head.

When is Claas going to bring the new 500 series combines to North AmericaIJ Supposed to be bigger, better and more powerful.

Not sure, I know they field tested the new 500 series in our area this past season (SW Manitoba) so they must be on the way. When dealing on a 480r we mentioned that we would maybe like to keep our 480 for another year and then trade up to a 570. However, the dealer said that they would only be available as demos next year.

I understand your comments earlier on this site about the downtime with parts replacement from your dealer. Poor support, right! Why, then, are you thinking of going back with the same color when you know that your dealer isn't going to back you up with parts and probably serviceIJ Seems like you want to get back into the same shoes that a week or two weeks ago you were wanting out of. In addition, would you comment further about why you question the 9860 performing well in wet corn. From what I've seen the 9860 will outperform the 480's in high moisture corn. Thanks!

Catch a flight to Northern Ireland and I will get you any amount of 500 series Claas lexions alot cheaper than your CAT equivalent!!! Between $4_5000 dollars to ship to the States!!!

Hi , I had one such similar issue with some 480R Plates right amdist the harvest and i thought ClAAS's service was excellent. My dealer said no plates with chances to get one looking not too good. I sent an e-mail on their website and had their reps,my dealer and even their web administrator all responding back in a few hours and my machine was fixed all set for the next day. Man, thats about as good as service can get as long as u let the right people know as far as the CAT Combines are concerned.

2004 Claas 570 lexion, 25f vario head with trolley (can price 30f),RWA,new style chopper,"all singing all dancing" approx 130000 ($280800 CAN)($215800 American) You would probably be better buying the headers in N.America because the main combine unit would be cheaper to ship then. As for the shipping,I obtained a quote from a shipping company who where advertising in the british "Farmers weekly" to ship a JD 6850 chopper with grass and Kemper heads from Southampton to Galveston in Texas for $4600!!! I would spectulate that to ship to the ports at the great lakes (super Wisconsin etc) would be cheaper because I think the ships call here first.

like to know where this hign performance 9860 is that will out perform a 480R. After the butt spanking the 480R gave the 9860 at Husker Harvest, Deere would not run it against the 480R again. They ran the 9760 at Ohio Farm Science and Farm Progress. As for running in high moisture corn, that is what they had at the Husker Harvest Show. What happen to the 9860 there. Harvester Works support set that machine.
