I actually thought this was to help feeding and not for saving stuff from falling back out. Does it help feeding inIJ That's the main problem with our 500 Head, is getting beans to feed in even sometimes.

We have one on one of our 800 Series 30 foot heads. It cost us 950.00. I am not that impressed with it, when comparing it to the Johnson bar. We have a 800 30 foot head with the Johnson Bar on it and the header losses are a lot less with this setup than the raised feather sheets that are on the other header. The raised feather sheets do help for feeding but the Johnson bar feeds good to. So both heads feed the same. But the header loss with the raised feather sheets make this setup not as good a deal. Plus the cost is higher for the feather sheets than the Johnson bar.

What's a Johnson's BarIJ

Its the brand name of the metal strip that bolts on to your sickle guard bolts. I like to call it a rock bar because it does an excellent job keeping rocks and dirt out of the head. Which is the main reason that I bought it. It also does an excellent job of holding your header loss down.
