Hey JM did you find a F-3 already. I think you are in for a lot of work as the 500's have a offset feeder opening for the R's. Unless you change location of the opening to center it on the F I don't think it will work. You want to make sure you can get a hyd pump on the head also as the F's did not have enough output to run the reel. A dealer close to me might have some good 300's, I could give him a call if you want.

Yes, I found a very nice low hour f3. It does have a 313 flex with it. I was wanting to put a late model head on it but it might be to costly.thanks for the reply.

Hey JM why did you want to update to a 500. The only real difference is in the snouts. I checked on changing them and it is a very simple switch. The big change came on the 800's with the bigger flighting and sickle closer to the auger that would be a sweet head on a F-3. Anyway I hope you have as much good luck with your F as I did. PS I still like the F-3 over the rotor even if the rotor out runs it, catch you later!
