Combines 500 series knifehead

I run a 800 30ft flex head and last fall I also broke the three quarter inch bolt that screws into the SCH knife head but I replaced the knife head and bolt with the seven eights drive bolt and so far it has worked. You might want to check the speed of the SCH sickle and make sure it is at 530 strokes per minute. Good luck.

we had taken a 10.5 in pulley off a massey head to speed up cutter bar. We had put a 500 series head on a 82 n6. worked fine for 3 yrs then sat it broke head at threads. replaced head and bearings, ran for 2 days no poroblem yet. Do they make a speed up kit for 500 head with SCH bar when put on a n6IJ
