We have the standard set-up,with the head slowed down all the way before locking out, it seems to not have enough sickle speed to do a nice cut at 4-5 mph. Seems to be cutting pods and there falling forward on the ground.I thought maybe a tiger jaw because of twice the cut with the same speed. What do ya thinkIJ

We have been running a Tiger Jaws 2000 for the last few years and it works pretty well. It seems like it really depends on which neighborhood you live in as to what guys like. Some dealers cuss at tiger jaws...others say that's the only one they can sell. Same for the other brands. I think most will work well once you get the speed right for your cutter bar, as long as you keep up on the repairs and adjustments.

We have same problem--ground speed to fast for cutterbar. Check rpm of wobble box shaft;about 500with standard set up.This is to slow for 5mph if beans are short.Pro Drive with pulley will get 600. much less vibration;better cut;less wear.We have changed both combines to pro drive and think it will work better. also check stabiliser bar under left skid--must be tight to hold up at higher rpm. good luck.

You could speed up your drive by lowering the idler pully on the drive belt. But too much speed can brake sikle. Drive belt could need to be replaced. Tiger teeth someone said likes to plug with root balls. Works better for notill farming.Good luck
