The newer N series are much more machine than a 510. I have read where at auctions that later N (1982+) are still going from $12000 to $25000 depending on condition and heads. Some can be found for less, but normally they are the earlier N's and heads. If the 510 has not been run in the past couple years, you can expect lots of belt failure even though it has been shedded. Belts dry rot from lack of use. Bearing will also collect moisture if sitting any length of time and pits will develop, causing bearing failure. I start my N6 up atleast every 2 months in the off season to keep the batteries, bearings, belts and engine in good condition. A gallon or two of fuel is well worth possible problems from sitting for a prolonged period of time.
