Combines 52 AUGER

Check the shaft and bush for wear at the universal joint inside of the tube. This amount of wear does seem excessive. We extended an N7unload auger by 3 feet. To take the extra load [ The N7's tank mounting was a bit suspect in any case. ] we anchored a piece of cable near the top back corner of the grain tank. This mounting point was reinforced inside of the tank to take the load. A 2 ft long sleeve was rolled to clamp around the tube and the cable attachment point was on this tube. This tube_attachment point was near the rest, with the auger down and was adjusted until the cable was just slack when the auger was right down and tight when fully extended. This bit required a fair amount of fiddling. Care was taken to ensure cable did not snag while extending or retracting. Cheap, and never had a scrap of trouble with the set up and a nice long stable auger when extended. Cheers
